Dear Jackie Hartman Memorial Foundation:

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing me as the recipient of your wonderful scholarship this year. What an honor! And what a blessing to my family and I. Being in nursing school the past two years with my husband at home with our kids has been challenging in many ways – emotionally, mentally, physically, and of course financially. This scholarship award could not have come at a better time for our family. You are amazingly generous and obviously have a big heart to think of others in need. I commend you, and thank you.

After I submitted my essay last summer, I graduated nursing school in December and was offered a job at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix. I was so blessed to gain employment doing what I love, for the patients I am passionate about – Pediatrics. I have been working there for the past two months and have absolutely loved it!  I have no doubt that being a nurse is part of my mission in life and I will do everything I can to fulfill this mission of helping children and their families. You are a testament to serving others and have helped me continue on my path of helping others.

It is the kindness of people like you that makes a difference in this world. You have made a huge impact in my world, and I hope through my nursing care and in my personal life that I can follow your example. Thank you a million times over for this opportunity. I could never adequately convey the depth of my gratitude for your gift.
